Series Systems are typically
used to transmit data from rotating shafts or machinery to a stationary
receiver. The 2040BC Miniature Strain Gage Transmitter can be connected
to strain gages adhered to your shaft in order to transmit shaft torque
and thrust, while the system is running. Power is
supplied to
the Transmitter by a nine volt battery or by the Model 2030i Induction
Power Supply for continuous operation. The Model 2025BP Portable
Receiver includes a built-in speaker and a digital backlit LCD display
which can be scaled to read out in Engineering units. The unit can be
powered from 12 VDC or 120 VAC. |

- Miniature
Transmitter: Available for most any type of sensor.
Many sizes available to accommodate clearance space limitations.
- Collar
Assembly: The
optional Model 2010B Split-Collar Assembly provides a convenient means
of attaching any of the 2040BC Series Transmitters to a rotating shaft.
A cavity in one side houses the Transmitter(s) while the other side
houses a standard nine volt battery or induction power conversion
circuitry. Connections are automatically made from one half to the
other. Models are available for dedicated shaft sizes or to cover a
range of shaft sizes.
- Induction Power Supply (optional):
The Model
2030i IPS delivers power through a stationary loop antenna to an
antenna embedded in the collar. This power transfer provides long term,
uninterrupted measurements with no batteries.
- Remote Calibration (optional):
The RC Option
enables the user to actuate a positive or negative shunt calibration
from the Receiver. The shunt calibration resistor is located on the
Transmitter.
- Automatic Turn-On (optional):
Automatically
applies power to the Transmitter whenever any vibration or rotation is
detected. Power to the Transmitter automatically ceases 25 minutes
after vibration or rotation is no longer detected. For use with
battery-powered Transmitters.
