2.4 GHz Overview

All ATi 2.4 GHz systems incorporate advanced technology. This technology enables higher data throughput, lower power consumption and increased cost efficiency in the smallest radio of its kind on the market.

ATi 2.4 GHz systems provide flexible solutions for a wide variety of industrial and commerical applications. The design allows for easy integration into many applications, as well as long-lasting reliability. ATi transmitters can be used in either point-to-point or point-to-multipoint operation; frequency-hopping spread-spectrum technology is used for interference resistance and simultaneous connections between many receivers.

Here's a rundown of the benefits to our customers:

  • High Data Transfer Rates
    Up to 1Mbps over the air supports most applications;
  • Small Form Factor
    small enough to fit handheld devices
  • Long Range
    Up to 10,000 feet with dipole antennas; longer ranges with high-gain antennas
  • Low Power Consumption
    The lowest power consumption in its category with standby modes for battery-powered applications
  • Interference Resistance
    High frequency and Spread Spectrum Modulation provide highly reliable communication even in radio hostile environments
  • International Acceptance
    2.4 GHz is accepted virtually throughout the world as unlicensed spectrum. ATi 2.4 GHz systems conform to FCC, IC and EN regulations.

Performance

Our systems enable RF data transmission up to 1Mbps with a range of up to 500 feet (91 m) indoors and 10,000 feet (3050 m) line-of-sight (actual data rate and range depends on RF module). They have an industry standard TTL level asynchronous serial interface for fast integration. Their combination of robust communication, small size, integrated design and cost efficiency make them ideal for applications previously unable to benefit from wireless technology.

Certifications

The 2.4 GHz frequency band used by ATi is approved virtually worldwide as an unlicensed frequency spectrum subject to approvals for specific devices. Spread spectrum technology allows use of these products without an FCC site license. ATi's modules are currently approved for operation by FCC (USA), IC (Canada) and ETSI/SE (Europe).
