NEW Wireless
Wheel Sensing System uses telemetry to
provide real-time measurements on rotating wheel…. |
Spring Valley, OH - December 20,
2001 - Advanced Telemetrics Int'l introduces a NEW
Rotating Wheel Sensing system designed for measurement of critical
parameters from a rotating wheel. This new device, which
comes in a multitude of configurations, allows manufacturers of wheel
and tire components, as well as suspension and drive train mechanics,
to accurately and thoroughly measure various parameters to best
optimize the performance of their product.
|
|
Designed to be mounted directly on the existing wheel without any
modifications to the wheel hub, the system can be used to provide data
on tire characteristics, suspension systems, brake performance, drive
train and more. Capable of withstanding the harsh environments of
automobile road testing, the system can operate over the full speed
range of light cars, trucks and SUV's.
Power to the rotating components can be supplied by battery or
inductively for continuous long-term operation. The receiver features
an analog output and digital backlit LCD displays that can be scaled to
read out in engineering units.
No modifications to the drive shaft are required, only adhering the
strain gages is necessary. This saves the expense and time to install
slip rings on the wheel hub, also eliminating exterior components
subject to damage.
Also available, wireless systems to measure torque on rotating drive
shafts or half-shafts.
Using standard telemetry TRANSMITTER
MODULES housed within tailored designed clamp-on COLLAR
ASSEMBLIES, these system require NO shaft
modifications and are simply maintenance-free. |

Advanced Telemetrics Int’l designs
and manufactures telemetry
systems for use on rotating shafts or machinery and for Point-to-Point
applications. ATi products have been used for data acquisition in the
Automotive, Aerospace and Process industries where sensor signals are
inaccessible.
